Welcome to GenXPosterChild.com!
Hi, my name is Sarah, and I’m the reigning princess of GenXPosterChild. This is what I look like:
, but don’t let it fool you. Before my hair was blonde, it was purple.
Do you ever wake up with the feeling of “what the hell am I doing here?” Can you ever see the days stretch into months and then years and all you can think of is “What’s the point?” and take a nap? Do you look at such terms like ‘underachiever,’ ’slacker,’ ‘professional student,’ ‘jaded/cynical/bitter’ as compliments? Are you still a bit mad that you were too young to be around for the original punk movement? Do you remember Eddie Murphy and/or Phil Hartman on SNL? While growing up, did you get sucked into hair bands with really tight jeans, or did you go for the more ‘mod’ bi-level hairstyles and wear nothing but black?
Today, with all that’s happened in this world, are you kind of pissed off that the generations who preceeded you kept borrowing, using you as collateral? When you look into the future, do you see sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, or do you see the Baby Boomers sucking our economy and society dry? Can the kid across the street set up your stereo system faster than you?
All of these I believe set Generation X apart, and it’s stuff like this and hopefully more random postings and comments like this that you’ll find on my site. Other than my hair, here are a few facts about me: I have a BA in English, am a paralegal and travel agent, went to massage therapy and bartending school, and am able to teach yoga and pilates, and I do NONE OF THEM. I’m 30-something, and I live in Hawaii (which is NOT what it’s cracked up to be). My books are my life, followed by my music. The longest boyfriend I’ve ever had has been with my dog, who sadly passed away last year. I’m not like other people in lots of ways, and it’s taken me most of my life to be able to deal with that.
If you want to know more, come check out my website at www.GenXPosterChild.com. Don’t worry about the punctuation. I’d love to share what I know and learn what others have to share. Thank you for checking this out, and I look forward to you visiting my site soon!

Hey SarahAnne, thanks for the comment and your feedback. You know I’ve seen a few candy/sweet jars in workplaces in my time, but one place had like five! There were biscuits, chocolates, jelly beans, and all sorts of other stuff. They really took their lolly jar/s seriously, and it there was a weekly roster to keep them stocked up!! Anyways, I like your site also, great adaption of the four column structure there

Sarah Anne… very nice compliment you left. Thank you, it’s much appreciated. I am glad to be found. It’s me, us and we that power the blogsphere. Cheers!

Your 4-column layout is unique, and your writing addictive! I’ll be dropping by often to see what you’re sharing with the blogosphere. On a related note, my Ranting Willow blog is about 3 weeks old now, i wonder how it would fare if I ran it through the same “tests” you did…
